Wonderful, just wonderful!
In hindsight, the vicar realised they should have kept the pews
… but, as he hoisted the paint pot, it was going to save a fortune with hiring scaffolding…
Christians behaving bizarrely again, is this the power of delusional thinking? (despite the clear biblical emphasis on the kingdom of God being restored here on Earth, Christians continue to dream of escaping their Earth bound life)
One explanation for this is the contemporary rule bound, joyless, experience of church.
come to church, it will do you good
Surely at least statistically someone should have been left behind
good point!
Just found your site today through jaybrams.com. Loving it!
Had to laugh and comment on this one…when my husband was a teenager and in his church’s youth group, they actually made “rapture holes” out of black construction paper and taped them to the ceiling. That way, if the rapture came while in church, they would fly through the black holes!
man… that’s unbelievable! what a length to go to to make dodgy theology plausible! i really am stunned by this! thanks for the comment, lindsey… truly remarkable!
hahaha… i want to die laughing now. but if i do, i laugh at myself too..
You share a lot of what you stand against, but what do you actually stand for?
Are you an advocate of Churchless Faith

Lindsay, please tell me that didn’t happen in England?
