my instinctive response to this was an immediate “oh!”. simple but brilliant!

ouch
Brilliant!
truth hurts…
lol, i have to question whether this is really true or just some form of comic charicture, lol
brilliant though it may be…
it is merely a cartoon… how could it possibly be true?
I love it! Nice job.
I guess this is to be taken lightly-one of those “laugh at yourselves” kind of things. I told my son this morning, “I can’t STAND stereotypes!!” I wonder why that is? Ops, there’s a question. I must be an “emergent.” Really though, talking about all these “labels” of Christian perspective, I believe the Lord, by His Holy Spirit, is transforming us in His image, and there really is no label for that. It just shows His power in us, revealing Christ to the world. He is building His house in us. If we are truly in Him and He in us, we won’t be any “label” but just reflect His hand shaping and molding us. I know, “oh, don’t be so serious,” but, if we really believe in His power to conform us to the image of His Son, we will not be compelled to label ourselves or others, but just be content to have Him come alive in us, and to let Him “build His church.” I guess that’s one of the reasons I don’t like labels-they call for definition, and His work in us knows no bounds, because He himself is limitless, and He desires to come alive in us, His many-membered Body.
what about ‘you brood of vipers!’… that’s a label… quite an unpleasant one too. you got it right though, this is one of those ‘laugh at yourselves’ kind of things… i believe it’s good for us and that’s why i do it.
lol

Let’s label Patti an anti-labelite
Incidentally, I “question” whether either of the three positions is accurately represented. But, if we’re only supposed to laugh at the image, then I guess it has served its purpose.
i believe them to be an accurate representation of behaviours i see in each of the depicted traditions. of course they’re more complex and diverse than that, but the cartoon is making a point whether one agrees with it or not and it is making it simply… maybe one day i’ll write a thesis on why i believe these traditions to behave in these general ways, but for now i have a few more cartoons coming up that will undoubtedly offend someone!

LOL!! Funniest one yet!!
Laura
wow! ta laura!
why are Christians nearly as hard to get along with as people of other persuasions?
when you have faith, maybe it’s a temptation to have to be right about things… if it ain’t about relating, it’s of no interest to me.
