can you explain what you’re saying with those one?

Are you saying that emerging Christians are wasting time by trying to remake or reinvent something that already works just fine? In light of your other drawings, I wouldn’t think that’s what you meant… That’s why I’m wondering if you could explain it.

    thanks!!! :)

Hmmm. That one was pretty clear to me.

just a bit of fun at the expense of people a bit like myself… inventive and creative… sometimes with a good purpose, sometimes completely pointless! hope that helps curtis. :-)
btw… the cartoon illustrates ‘completely pointless’.

Even I get this one! ;-)

  5. If your wheel misrepresents it’s Maker, is conveniently used to kill and destroy rather than bring life and growth then there is definitely a place for reimagination.

Emergents are the few who have the guts to speak up and call for the redesign.

    Go Emergents!

i like what your saying! i still think round is best though! :-)

First off, cool “name”. Second, you make an AMAZING point…

A round wheel does seem to make the most sense to US, but if you really want to take the analogy further, what if that’s not how God sees it? Shouldn’t we be willing to question the validity of something even as basic as the wheel to make sure that it’s inline with God’s values?

Shouldn’t we be allowed to deconstruct the round wheel, even if all it brings us to is back to the round wheel, but at least now we REALLY know that the round wheel is “right”.

ha ha ha. This is probably taking the analogy way too far, but I just liked where “( | o )=====:::” was going with his line of thought…

  8. jonbirch says:

( | o )=====:::’s point seems to be more to do with the misuse of the wheel than the actual design of the wheel itself. a wheel works… to deconstruct its uses and abuses, to look at how we best make it for its purpose etc. is a very good idea. that’s if we’re literally talking about a wheel.

there are of course many things that we assume work… eg. certain church and social constructs etc, etc. but if we look at them again we will find that they actually don’t work. We need to be brave enough to face these things and not let our own comfort get in the way of the truth.
