Oh my!? How is brother Smith going to play that guitar he’s got no arms, and I don’t think he’s going to use his feet as they are obviously going to be covered in chocolate from cadbury land……. now I wonder if the promised land will be made of cheese.
Cadbury’s? Poland? They can’t do that…can they? It won’t taste the same – it’ll be like bacon sarnies in Spain or a cup of tea just about anywhere – just plain wrong!
Local to me there are factories in Keynsham near Bristol and one in Birmingham (I think that’s gone) and they are totally going against the wishes of the founder of the company and shipping it off because it’s cheaper.
Like Dyson who said he’s never move but then when they wouldn’t allow him to build because of land preservation, shipped off overseas.
I’ve got absolutely nothing against my brothers and sisters overseas and wish them all the best, but what is this.
sweet song laura… is it true they used to entice poor kids away from home to work using that song? that’s what someones comment suggested… like a promise of paradise. if so, it’s also a very sad song. that you for the delightful diversion.
hey sarah… there is a massive cadbury factory a couple of miles from where i live, khs can see it from his front garden. it’ll be very sad the day that closes for business. it looks like i imagine willy wonka’s factory would look… massive, red brick, victorian and wierd! it’s a local landmark and a good employer. sad days. about time they made their chocolate fair trade though.
jon, glad you liked the song. LOL!
I’m not sure if they enticed kids away with that song or not.
When I was little I had a Disney Songs album (yep, that’s right, album) and the version of the song I had was all about candy. Peppermint trees, lemonade rivers, that kind of thing…never knew there was a grown up version till today.
I like it though.
Laura (16), looks like the Cadbury’s World is still there in Birmingham, but I think all the manufacturing’s going over.
I don’t know if you guys know Cadbury’s owns Green & Blacks, personally I think you have to be pragmatic, I buy G&B for the values and it’s amazing chocolate.
Thanks Sarah.
I always thought it’d be fun to go to Cadbury World just cause it’s weird, but dang, it’s expensive!
When I was living in the UK a few years ago, I had a friend come over to visit. She went home with 60 pounds (currency not weight) worth of Cadbury chocolate because she SWORE it tastes different than the Cadbury’s in the US! True story! LOL!
Obviously he was waiting for the prize draw, then?
Nice to see I’m not the only one with nocturnal tendencies. I must get some rest now as I’m up again at 6:10.
Night night and God bless!

Songs are for community.
We don’t need someone to wait around for a recording contract.
Let’s sing and play right here.
