Would it be any better if they increased the baggage allowance? (not only a profound and insightful comment but also a sly and selfish dig at certain budget airlines)
The institutionalized form of church life IS like this.
75-85% of money put in the offering plate is used to by stuff for those putting the money in. Only 15-25% goes beyond the givers “needs”. The IC SYSTEMThis is a tragic reality.
God’s grace will keep the plane from crashing, but the eternal rewards of those sucked in by this system will, to a large extent, be burned up by fire as wood, hay or stubble. This SYSTEM of church is so deeply deceptive, most inside cannot see it. To interact: timaag@gmail.com
oso… hahaha… you could guarantee a million and one different interpretations of the manual within seconds! i bet the best pilots have to improvise from time to time to keep their passengers safe… you can just imagine someone with a manual getting right on his nerves.
hey artbizness… they can sometimes be a little ‘orange’.
This is the story of my Church I feel right now. there are a few who have looked out the window and seeing other planes taking off a flying just fine have grabbed the few parachutes and jumped ship. there are one or two of us now who are looking out know there are a few more parachutes left but feel too much for the people that have been straped down and don’t want to face the problem. How on earth do we pull out of the nose dive or should we just save ourselves?
i guess it depends on what the issues are, andrew.
all churches have problems, but isn’t it about honestly facing the truth of what we’re like? some may have jumped ship for good reasons, others for an easier life (although i suppose that could be a good reason)… but wherever they’ve jumped to will also have its faults though they may be more obscured by ’success’, without knowing more about the issues its hard to comment.
i wish you all the best as you work it out.
ps. broken aeroplanes can be restored or scrapped. it’s a choice to be made. remember, big fancy aeroplanes can pollute the air. if church isn’t about loving, serving community, what is it about?
And the solution is, of course, to make the trolley coffee better.

Church is NOT a consumer place. We don’t all sit around waiting for people to serve us.
We get out and fly, and walk, ourselves.
The more authentic we are the more people will see that we are just a bunch of people, loving each other in the power of Christ.
Not some drippy types in a chair.
Here endeth the Rant.
Peace be with you Everyone,
Sarah x

Is anyone looking out the window to see if the plane is flying level or plunging straight down?
Or should it be ascending as we draw closer to JC?

Actually the real solution is to make sure that the right people read the instruction manual correctly and do what it says.
Or would that constitute some form of idolatry?

Very cool.
Not all churches are bad, but it does seem like its getting to be a disproportionately high number lately.
Good stuff!

cheers ron. yep, they’re not all bad at all.
