  1. sometimes those bars are our own doing… even sadder…

  2. initial gut instinct response:

    “wow.”

    immediately followed by raw honesty:

    “me, too…”

    followed by:

“i know someone else who has the same problem…”

i wish we could all just uncage each other, and be free from all that.

    yay, heaven!!!

  5. i still get like this, however sometimes it is me trying to get into the room rather than out of it. Sometimes it feels like it is the safest place to be.

  17. happy no.2… i wish the same. :-) :-(

hey dennis… you just have admitted it… a breakthrough! :-) i only got used to admitting it because i had no choice. it was ‘face it’ or ‘have no life’… and i’ve always loved life.

scanartist… yeh seeing someone down when they are the author of their own downfall is indeed sad. been there done that too. :-(

  20. Does the real Jon Birch only have one thumb and three fingers on each hand?

If I had a file I’d smuggle it through those bars for you, dear.

    Comment by AnneDroid — May 9, 2008 @ 10:40 pm

  21. There are times when I can breeze into a crowd and the mask is fitting great. I can convince myself I am the life and soul of the party. Other times it is the most painful experience even when I know the people really well, they may even be family. I hate the telephone, but fortunately we can check numbers these days and decide whether or not to answer. I often just refuse to answer the front door. I wish I could be warmer and more all-embracing, but I do have difficulty getting over these little foibles. I think we can all be prisoners of our fears and also our quirks.

    Comment by Carole — May 9, 2008 @ 10:55 pm

  22. hi annedroid… no, the real me is fully appendaged with a normative quantity of digits. :-)
if you had a file i’d gratefully receive it. :-)

oh i so relate to those foibles, quirks and fears of yours carole. :-)
