  1. everyone was obviously looking at the market though beer goggles Drinking in the same as the Market himself. Not an attractive thought in the sober light of day.

  2. WOW that’s slightly scary! I never really thought of it as an entity before.

  4. Coming from a youth work background here…
…Its like if a child is super skinny to the point of anorexia, eventually we notice and hopefully act. support kicks in parents are informed and the system slowly reacts.
If a child is super over weight we don’t seem to know what to say or do. So we leave it until it really is a huge problem as we simply hope it will go away. Even if you do act then the professionals don’t seem to know what to do either.

  5. It is the fat controller!, I always wanted to meet him since my Dad read me the Thomas books as a kid

or is it that bit in Isaiah, where God points out we’ve called good ‘bad’, and believed bad was ‘good’!

sadly I guess it’s the poor who are going to feel the cost again, I doubt we are going to wake up and find ourselves in a new society

trust my fellow Asbo bloggers are ok?

    take it easy, x su

  8. Everything needs to fail now and again, it’s a wonderful thing to be reminded that God is the only thing we can depend on.

  9. This reminds me of Steven Colbert’s hilarious piece the other night, “Hear ye, all ye children of capitalism”.

Amazing to hear so many commentators saying “I believe in the free market” without realizing how much it sounds like a creed. The best parts start at 2:25.

  10. Mr Creosote?

    Comment by Timbo — October 3, 2008 @ 2:46 pm

  11. Well we have spent ten years pretending in the west that money exists. There had to come the point where we finally realised that shuffling paper and moving numbers from one column to another doesn’t actually do anything. Finally the world seems to have woken up from it’s dream land. Given that we no-longer do anything I wonder what will happen. perhaps the realisation that our magic beans aren’t that magic will give us the kick up the butt we need and revitalise the working world. perhaps we’ll start to produce things again!
