there y’go sonia. endorsements from the baker clan aplenty. i knew he’d love it. i don’t know that the boys have seen it yet… i’ll have to facebook them… give ‘em a bit of leverage.
Haha, I found this hilarious. I need to start carrying all this stuff around with me, so I too can look like a true Christian! It’s kind of sad though, if you think about it, this is how a lot of the world sees Christians… When they think christian, they think of things we HAVE to do, and the things we HAVE to be. Instead of the things we GET to do, and the things we GET to be. I like to think of it that way.

But do never ever stick fireworks in your waistband. Could go ouch, especially in conjunction with the candle.

Becky beat me to it. Where’s the mac? And the ticket to Outer Mongolia?
Lets raise a glass to Jonny for inspiring us all to go and do something.
Comment by Robb — January 15, 2009 @ 8:28 am
Great, but how does he manage to blog so much with his hands full?
Brilliant cartoon. Thanks for making me laugh.
Comment by David Keen — January 15, 2009 @ 8:54 am
Jonny can jugggle like nobody’s biz.
My mind went in the gutter a bit re: the fireworks in the pants – that must be Jon getting all cheeky ;->
Comment by becky — January 15, 2009 @ 9:05 am
Fantastic image – I’ll have to design a service around it … Caused much laughter this morning.
Comment by Paul Roberts — January 15, 2009 @ 9:31 am
i see white is the new black
still like my own black look on blog, but am liking that we get a smiley jonnybaker on his photo, he looked a bit cool and moody on the other one
thanks must go to jonny for his neverending passion for creative worship (and providing jon with a cartoon inspiration…fab!)

I have to say that as a Presbyterian and a friend of Mr Baker I really deplore this savage attack on his dignity – you should be ashamed.
Comment by Doug Gay — January 15, 2009 @ 11:10 am
brilliant, choked!
Comment by gilly — January 15, 2009 @ 12:14 pm
haha doug! he has more facebook friends than me… that makes him a target!
david keen… becky’s right… jonny has a massive capacity for doing loads and holding it all together. he’s an amazing work partner.
i deliberately left apple macs out of this and kept the cartoon ‘worship tricks’ focused. i did a cartoon on that theme a while ago.
Comment by jonbirch — January 15, 2009 @ 2:17 pm
Yeah but doesn’t Jonny need the laptop for him to DJ his music?
And you left out the hair gel, sunglasses and CMS style shirt.
Oh and i forgot – the headphones. Gotta wear the headphones so you can hear the voice of God.
Comment by becky — January 15, 2009 @ 6:17 pm

This one is going straight to the pool room
Comment by Greg the Explorer — January 15, 2009 @ 9:15 pm
That was a reference to the great Aussie movie – The Castle – where everything great that the kids did went ’straight to the pool room’ for display.
There you go a lesson in cultural uderstandings to make great glorious nation of Australia
Comment by Greg the Explorer — January 15, 2009 @ 9:17 pm
not on the dartboard i hope, greg the explorer!
yup, it’s been an enjoyable team… jonny inspires me and he bleeds me dry.
Comment by jonbirch — January 15, 2009 @ 9:19 pm
Yeah well done – at least the rocket is poking up the top of the pants, and not straight out.
Comment by dave — January 16, 2009 @ 8:06 am
Ahh,
remember the days when all we needed was an overhead projector and a Moby CD?
Grace and peace

36. OK, then Jen, scratch the gel – guess the candle could do double duty in pinch.

39. Hey, that’s not fair to get Jonny’s kids in on the action – after all the worst Jonny can do to you is have Claire and your dog prank you.
