Very dark indeed, but something I’ve been hearing said a lot recently.
You don’t think God might be trying to get through to me, do you?
hmm, not sure
I rather suspect that life is spelled R…i…s…k…
and whilst faith is an assurance that you go with someone,
I suspect that more often than not we walk through that dark
door in trust that God is hanging around with us on the journey
Take the light of the world with you!
or a torch!
Heh, thanks – good suggestions all.
I often think it can be more frightening when you know what’s behind the door and know you’ve got to go through anyway – you don’t have that sense of adventure to help you along…
yes timbo… what you’re describing there is the ‘room 101′ scenario… if you’ve read 1984 you’ll know what i mean. basically the room contains your worst fear.
i have a big problem with doors to rooms where i know what’s inside and doors to rooms which are dark. all new rooms can fill me with dread and often even rooms i should know well take on an unfamiliarity, which i find most unsettling.
Oh yeah…that’s it exactly!
