Oh yes indeed,
glad you agree.
Pomposity is a narcissistic defence mechanism. I only engage in tongue-in-cheek pomposity and self-conscious narcissism – so that’s all right.
I find that the more someone feels they need to tell me how impressive they are the less impressive I find them.
Could that be because most p***ks are pompous?
this one gave me a belly laugh……perfect timing
Love it.
ooh, I’m gonna try that!
I plan to take a knitting needle to work tomorrow to try and clear a paper jam in my computer printer. This cartoon makes me think I should just carry it about with me from now on as it could be used for this too…
PS If you catch me being pompous, please feel free to do the same to me – I suppose like so many other things, pomposity is easier to spot in others than in ourselves.
hmmm… i’ve often wondered whether i’m pompous. is cartooning in the way i do a bit pompous? i don’t know. i hope not.
i think it’s good to prick pomposity, but it’s not good to be a pompous p***** in doing so.
to murder a well known phrase… pomposity pricking begins at home.
“is cartooning in the way i do a bit pompous?”
No.
thanks linus!
With pleasure!
