Love it! You must have seen my desk…
Can I print this off to show our homegroup on Tuesday?
sigh
See he’s been drinking again!
Eek! I was getting some of the young people i work with to do the ‘modern parable,’ and one group based it on my office. It was ‘the parable of the lost floor!’
I don’t see where the problem is. You can see some of the desk, and at least one mug. Everything else is just classification by stratification. Or dig deep and you’ll find it in there somewhere!
@ Andrew Foulsham… be my guest.
kayte…
that’s brilliant! so… what have we learned?
Oh How this sums me up.
yea, but which bloke (from the pic) would you go for a pint with? & why?
Love the wine…pity there’s no cigar!

what does “messy spirituality” even mean?
not sure Dawn – that’s where it gets a bit messy
@Dawn and @Subo,
I think it’s a play on the title of the book by Mike Yaconelli.
dunno dawn… guess it’s not feeling or thinking you have it all sussed, being prepared to learn from experience, mucking in and finding out. mind you, it could just be a phrase invented to get up the nose of the more conservative christian.
It’s about a spitiuality that “works” in the real world rather than wished for monastic lifestyle that is destroyed every time the kids play up / car breaks down / someone dies / you have a cold….
Fantastic book about it:

What is spirituality?
spirituality is our human expression of our divine nature
we are creatures made in the image of God, and hardwired to love, hunger, dream, sing, morn and celebrate
our lives are meaning rich and a process of engagement and transformation, we are in the process of becoming what God wants us to build within us, an ability to trust, to give, to make contact with each other, and gaining knowledge of our darkside
in short, tuning in to God’s love flowing through us, and being open to strengthening the channels this love follows
i’m still not really sure what it means in practice……
The forms of expression we use to explore our own understanding and/or sense of meaning?
Hope you’re alright Jon, been a month and I’m missing my ASBO fix.
I think he’s been raptured!
The poltergeist did it.
Dale Farm perhaps?
