Move, Holy Spirit! Move!
jon – is that ‘RIP’ or ‘R.I.P’?
Amen!
Pat beat me to it.
Death seems to be everywhere at the moment…
Robb – yes, sadly. But I guess in the Christian story at least, new life begins in the graveyard. Which is something to remind oneself of when facing the many deaths that seem to be an inevitable part of the experience of working out how to live and love in the manner of Christ.
Made me think of the Bishop of London and the Archbishop of Canterbury fisty cuffs over the St. Pauls protesters actually
Love the cartoon; how often do we try and lock the Holy Spirit in our church structures and then complain that nothinghappens?
Reminds me of the fisty cuffs over the St. pauls protesters between the Bishop Of london and the aech bishop of Canterbury actually!

Great to see you cartooning again Jon- have missed you:). Thanks for these last 2
indeed …
thanks, sonia.
goodacre… i think it was probably st. pauls that got me doing this cartoon. i think bishop alan wilson says it well here… http://bishopalan.blogspot.com/2011/10/shutting-shop-showing-off-or-showing-up.html
re. st. pauls, i thought the arch bishop gave a thoughtful response. the bishop of london on the other hand should maybe be put out to grass. he went down to st. pauls and seemed to have given absolutely no thought to the most basic of questions from the protestors… that’s just lazy. plus, he was condescending and arrogant. you may have gathered, i’m phenomenally unimpressed by that man.
btw. bishop alan wilson was also on bbc news at the time when the bishop of london was so ungracious. i thought what he said was great. integrity and depth of understanding of the concerns of the many were present in what he had to say… i liked that.
pat… haha! both, perhaps?
robb… i guess without death there ain’t no new life…
Jon like the story on the link about needing a priest. Sorry about the double entry – some kind of later web site update problem made me think my first post hadn’t registered. Good to have you back.
this looks like a film set for a Victorian drama, after they’ve set the props up for the witches dance – it’ll end in tears
came on to the site today, as I do most days and what do I find… New ASBO Jesus posts!! feels like Christmas. And love the new posts…
Mice had been nibbling at the church but even they found it too stale.
Love this one!
love this cartoon…..
all our carefully ordered and organised plans
whooshed and tumbled around…..
it happens, oh it happens
