Yep, yep. yep. I have tried various “experiments” over the years by sending out emails to various churches to see who might respond. I seldom got a personal email. In most cases, the first correspondence I got was a request for $$ – true in evangelical and mainline settings.
just a thought, – do you need a rule to follow to build community?
That’s one louder.
haha, robb. to this day one of my very favourite films. i’ve made every lodger we’ve ever had sit and watch it with me.
You can’t put Jesus in a box…….
I’m sure he’s found many communities where spirit is, where love is.
Good luck Jesus – I’ve not found any yet.
Nice. But to those looking but not finding – be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Be the change you want to see. Any fool can point out problems.
BTW, that’s not a criticism of the cartoon – it’s worth considering.
pow!
Cartoon 1052?
Jesus surrounded by tent city outside St Pauls
“Found it.”
hiya dgsinclair, i’m not so good at making community happen, but have found i can work on myself, (- but placing greater trust in God & God’s love for me,) to become less fragile. I still find community very painful at times – just have loads of self criticism to plough through, but by accepting i might be ok i hurt less, and can cope with making closer contact with others
where have all my Asbo mate’s gone? – have you found community? miss you guy’s.
Here too.

I live in a Christian community. 15 of us share everything. We ain’t perfect, but we’re working out what love means on a Monday morning.
